Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

Why does worry come so easily to us humans? In one short moment we let our minds rush from minor issue to major crisis. Yet God anticipates our call on his ever-open prayer line, ready to listen and act according to his purposes. Nothing is too trivial nor insignificant for Father God. The challenge for us is to not only lay down our burdens at his feet, but to add to them our crowns of independence and self-sufficiency. Allow him to meet your full need, resisting the temptation to pick those burdens up again – even if it’s ‘just to check’. And let’s be thankful that he’s got this new burden, as he’s had all your others before.
